I totally understand that opening so many new hotels in various brands is part of Starwood's development strategy. Moreover, it is obviously a long-term investment which might be a growth oppotunity for the group, especially with the great Luxury Collection. But I am affraid that so many openings during such a short period might be really risky. They do not know yet if all these new hotels are really going to be successful; they have no long term perspective. So if the results are not what Starwood has expected, they might have financial difficulties...
ResponderEliminarI agree with you Anne-Sophie when you say that they might have financial difficulties but I think that the key of all this new openings could be an accurate competition study.
ResponderEliminarAs we can see, the risks concerning this new openings are reduced by the development management which take care of finding the right place and the right city to invest.
As you know American companies, such as Starwood, have outstanding results in terms of competition studies.
It is for this reason that I keep being posistive about this huge management project!

I could be a majpor error to build news property in the world, but i could also be a big challenge ! + starwood will never make something that is not thinking before that why starwood is one of the best hotel chain worldwide
